Eleanor & Colin Wedding⎜Washington, DC

Imagine wanting something a bit different. Star Wars to walk on down the aisle, Burgundy suits for the guys, black and gold to decorate your wedding venue.

That’s what Eleanor and Colin went for at Fathom Gallery, one of my favorite venues in Washington DC since I captured Monika and Gary’s wedding.

DC Wedding on 14th Street

Colin and Eleanor met in college six years ago at the University of Georgia and have been together ever since! They’ve spent the pandemic together and their love just continues to get stronger. They love to travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with their friends. They have a cat named Loki, who they absolutely adore. I wish it was easy to bring our fur friends to weddings but it’s not always possible. At least they’ll see the pictures!

Eleanor and Colin went to Charlottesville for their 5-year anniversary trip. Colin proposed at the top of a mountain at Shenandoah National Park after an unexpectedly hard hike. It was just the two of them and a close friend to capture the moment.

Art gallery wedding venue

I have to see that Fathom Gallery is perfect for middle-sized weddings for many reasons. It’s intimate and cozy, with still a lot of space to have 70 people sit down during the ceremony. Forget about sitting down properly, most couples opt for a buffet to keep the room as a dancefloor. If you want to not have the hassle of creating a table plan, this is the perfect venue for you.

The location is also pretty great: located on 14th Street, I love scheduling the portrait sessions on Logan Circle. First look, bridal party or family formals, the circle is great with the beautiful row houses in the background and the touches of green from the park.
