Do you know what is the best part about an engagement session with a couple that lives in your neighborhood? Well, I already know all the best place!
Jillian and Michael love the same neighborhood bar as me, but we never met before this! Although we spent New Year Eve at the same place without knowing, we got along very well right away!
For their engagement session, they decided to trust me, as I know very well different places we could take pictures. We started at home, with their awesome puppy. (I truly love starting at my couple’s home as I explain it here) They just got one on a “puppy alert” two weeks before. What is better than a puppy engagement session in Washington DC? I love that we started at their appartement. We continued a bit on the rooftop before leaving the building without the most beautiful dog I’ve ever seen.
We started our walk in Petworth where there is a huge mural with beautiful colors of green. We continued our walk by Columbia road where a gorgeous community garden is being cultivated. We played with the trees for a while, before returning on their rooftop for the sunset.
Sunsets in Washington DC is a perfect ending for an engagement session. We waited few minutes, hoping that the sun will glare on the clouds. As the sky was getting dark, I tried to be creative and got few amazing shots of the couple.
After I sent their online gallery, Jillian gave me the most genuine compliment. Their goal was to get one good picture for their “save the date” card. She told me that now, they have too many to choose from! I was ecstatic and told her that this was my goal!
