Evelynn and Andrew chose Historic Rosemont Manor for many reason. The beauty of it, first. The place is in Virginia’s countryside.
On the terrace of the building, the view is amazing. Far away, we can see the mountains of Shenandoah. But what this couple adored, was that during the month of April, the main tree behind the ceremony space blooms with pink flowers. It was the perfect background!
Second, the service. During their wedding day, Historic Rosemont Manor team was always around, making sure that everything was falling into places. While the girls were getting ready in a studio, the guys were few hundred feet away to get ready as well. It made it very easy for me to go to a place and then another.
Evelynn vietnamese‘s roots added three traditional ceremony into the day. First, before the ceremony, both family met in the living room of the manor. The family of Evelynn gave her gift before walking down the aisle.
Second, they change and put a traditional vietnamese outfit to be introduce as husband and wife.
Third, and I think that everyone should do it, is to say hi to every table during the reception. That way, I was able to capture the couple with everyone!
Pre-wedding : a fantastic engagement session
Evelynn and Andrew asked me to come to their house few month before the wedding as they wanted a chill and relax time with me, a good way to know each other and judge my work before the big day! The first look is always the best way to get couple’s portraits before the ceremony. A little time for you and a big time for your wedding photos!
Vietnamese wedding tradition : gift to the groom and the bride
Before getting to the ceremony, Evelynn and Andrew sat down to welcome gifts from their parents and grandparents. This was a beautiful moment when all their families gathered together to see the bride and the groom receiving jewels and homemade gifts from their loved ones.
Wedding portraits before the ceremony
We enjoyed the time we had before the ceremony to take more pictures of the bride and her (little) friends.
The bride gave a notebook to the groom
Wonder why he looks at her like this? She wrote about him for first six month of their relationship. He read it and was amazed by what she was saying (“I think he is the one”) and the fact that she never shared it until now, saving it for their wedding day.
Bride's portrait in the bathtub
I loved a lot of things at Historic Rosemont Manor but that was one of my favorite: we did a whole series of the bride in the bathtub and we loved it! She looked like the coolest bride ever!

The mother talks to her daughter, few minutes before the wedding ceremony.
The religious ceremony
The priest led the whole ceremony. He gave a beautiful speech about love and commitment that really resonated with everyone.
Andrew finally put the ring on his wife finger
This is always a touching moment. The groom looked at his wife the whole time, so happy to be finally married to the love of his life.
The happy newlyweds !
Cheers to them!
Husband and wife portrait
Portraits don’t have to be posed and boring. It caught this moment when they were coming up to the first floor.
Cheers and champagne for the newly married couple
Before the wedding, we planned with them to do this. A glass of champagne, a balcony and a cheer to all the guests.
Traditional Vietnamese wedding outfits
This is what they decided to wear for the reception party. Two beautiful outfits from the Vietnamese culture.
New beautiful decor
Their wedding was the first one after the Historic Rosemont Manor redid the reception room. It was classy and romantic, just like Andrew and Evelynn’s wedding.
Husband and wife big entrance in the reception room
I love Evelynn face on this photographs, she was one of the coolest and funnest bride ever!
The speech of the mother
Evelynn is very close to her mom, which made her speech one of the most beautiful moment of the night.
The groom and the bride listening to the speech
The speeches are always the best moments for photographers. We get to have the best laughter of the night.
